Fredrik Erixon

Fredrik Erixon is an economist and Director of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), a think in Brussels he co-founded in 2006. Erixon has previously worked for the World Bank and the Prime Minister Offices in Sweden and the United Kingdom. He has been member of several government-appointed teams to evaluate e.g. crisis policies in Greece and the effects of hospital reforms. In his research, Erixon takes a particular interest in global economic and regulatory policy, and healthcare and welfare reform. He has authored numerous studies and books in these fields. In May 2015, his book - co-authored with Krishnan Srinivasan - on Europe in Emerging Asia (Rowman Littlefield) will be published, and in March 2016 his next book on innovation and capitalism, Bounded Capitalism (Yale University Press), will be published. Erixon was educated at Oxford University, Uppsala University, and the London School of Economics.
