Dr Miklós Szócska
Minister of State for Health-Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary

Dr Miklós Szócska is Minister of State for Health at the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary, a position he assumed in June 2010. In this role, he is responsible for managing the overall health sector transformation process in Hungary.

Before being appointed to his current position, Dr Szócska was Director of the Health Services Management Training Centre of Semmelweis University, Budapest. His specialisation covers various domains of health management and policy, with special emphasis on the critical aspects of management of change, migration of health professionals and the implications of social network studies on the organisation of health care systems.

Dr Szócska graduated at Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1989. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a PhD from the Semmelweis University in the field of change management.
